There's no booking and no tickets — just turn up. Pick a spot, wander the village, and see where the evening takes you. Everyone's welcome, and it costs nothing.

Kinvara's throwing its doors open for Culture Night on Friday 18th September, and there's something on from morning right through to late. Whether you've an hour to spare or want to make a full night of it, the whole village becomes one big trail of art, music and culture — and every single event is free.

THE KINVARA CULTURE TRAIL 2026

The day kicks off at Kinvara Market with the Culture Trail stall, where you can find out exactly what's happening and when. Through the afternoon there's plein air painting down at the slipway and in the community garden, art on display at the Secret Garden and Costcutter, and a design scribble session for 8-11 year olds at KCC come evening.

As the sun goes down, the village really fills up. Plein air painting at sunset on the quay and street food tasting at Tiffin, an early bird trad session at Sexton's, a demonstration of traditional Aran knitting at Be Yourself Boutique, and the opening of Three Ways of Seeing at KAVA Courthouse. Then it's music until late — trad at the Pier Head, Connolly's and Tully's, jazz at the Courthouse, classical at Tigh Sayre, live sets at Siar and Wild Living, and the night rounded out at Green's and Conole's.
